Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Programme of IGNOU aims at developing the understanding and
competencies required by practising teachers for effective teaching-learning process at the secondary stage.
The programme also provides opportunities of sharing experiences gained by practising teachers. It enables
in-service teachers to select and organise learning experiences according to the requirement of learners.
In addition, it provides knowledge and develops in them an understanding of areas such as educational
evaluation, school management, etc.

 

Eligibility
i) Graduation or Post-Graduation Degree with fifty per cent marks: Provided that the
requirement of fifty per cent marks shall not apply to persons appointed as teachers prior
to the commencement of the National Council for Teacher Education (Regulations Norms
and Procedure) Second Amendment Regulations, 30.3.2010 and Gazette Notification dt.
26.7.2010. The date of notification will be considered for appointment.
ii) Two years’ full time teaching experience on temporary/permanent basis as Primary/Graduate/
Post Graduate teacher in a primary, secondary/higher/senior secondary school with registration
number recognised by the respective Directorate of Education or Central or State Government
or Union Territory. The teacher should be in service at the time of submitting application
form as well as at the time of producing the original documents and also remain in service
of teaching at school level (primary/secondary/sr. secondary) during the period of compeletion
of B.Ed. Programme. The experience certificate should be issued by the Principal or
Headmaster/ Headmistress only. The requisite teaching experience of two years must be
completed on or before the last date of submission of application as notified in the
advertisement. An attested photocopy of the Recognition and Affiliation Certificate with
Registration number issued to the school, Central or a State Government or Union Territory
or Directorate of Education must be enclosed at the time of submission of Entrance cum
admission form.

iii) The reservation for SC/ST/OBC(Non-Creamy Layer) and other categories shall be as per
the rules of the Central Government. There shall be relaxation of five percent marks in
favour of SC/ST/Kashmiri Migrant and other categories of candidates, if any, as per Govt.
of India Rules.

Entrance Test
The Entrance Test will be held on the date mentioned in the advertisement Hall tickets will be provided
to the candidates before 10 days of the Entrance Test. In case of non-receipt of Hall Tickets 3 days
before the date of Entrance Test, candidates can download Hall Ticket from IGNOU website:
www.ignou.ac.in. and report to the Examination Centre for appearing in the Entrance Test.
Mere allowing candidates to take Entrance Test would not amount to acceptance of their eligibility for
admission to B.Ed. The final admission to the programme shall be subject to their rank in the
merit list in the Entrance Test and production of proof of their eligibility alongwith original
certificates and programme fee. The number of seats of each PSC is limited to 100 only. The university
reserves the right to conduct the examination at different centres/change the examination centre of the
candidates without assigning any reason thereof

IGNOU B.ED Fee
Rs. 20,000/- for the entire programme in Lump sum in the first year only.
Candidates seeking admission to the B.Ed. programme are advised not to pay the fee along with
the filled-in application form. They will get a separate communication about their admission and
payment of fee.
Duration: 2 years Maximum period allowed for completion of the programme will be 4 years

 DECLARATION OF RESULT AND RESULT CARD

Result cards indicating qualifying/non qualifying status in the entrance test would be despatched from
SED. Division, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi-110068 to all the candidates who appear for
the examination. In case any candidate does not receive the Result Card, he may approach the Regional
Director, IGNOU of his Region. Those who have qualifying status will submit their programme fee
Rs. 20,000/- by means of Demand Draft drawn in favour of IGNOU, payable at the city where
Regional Centre is situated. Such candidates will also submit the original call letter and the score
card to the Regional Centre with the DD representing fee, latest by the last date intimated to them
by Regional Centre concerned. The result will be available with IGNOU Regional Centre within 5
weeks from the date of examination.

Information for Final /Pool Counselling
A. Counseling on Oct 5 & 7, 2014
1. Candidates appearing in counseling on Oct 5 & 7, 2014, shall have to bring two bank drafts,
respectively of Rs 500/- and Rs 51250/- drawn in favour of Finance Officer, Bundelkhand
University, payable at SBI, BU Branch, Jhansi.
2. The SC/ST candidates who are eligible for zero fees( having parents income less than 2 lakhs)
shall have to bring two bank drafts, respectively of Rs 500/- and Rs 5000/- drawn in favour of
Finance Officer, Bundelkhand University, payable at SBI, BU Branch, Jhansi.
3. The candidates who are not allotted college/seat are required to collect the Bank Draft of Rs
51250/- from the concerned counseling center latest by Oct 10, 2014.
4. The candidates will have to submit an undertaking that after allotment of college the concerned
candidates shall have to necessarily seek admission in allotted college. In case he/she does not
take admission in the allotted college, he/she shall have no right to claim for fee refund.
5. Candidates have to positively lock their choice latest by midnight of October 7, 2014.
6. Processing of choices and Allotment of College/Seat shall be completed by Midnight of; October
8, 2014. Candidates can get their confirmation letter from upbbed.nic.in and submit the same
in the concerned college
B. Counseling on Oct 9 & 10, 2014
1. Counselling of the candidates who could not either turn up in the first phase of counseling or
who were not allotted colleges or could not remit the admission fees are being invited on
above dates.
2. Candidates appearing in counseling on Oct 9 & 10, 2014, shall have to bring two bank drafts,
respectively of Rs 500/- and Rs 51250/- drawn in favour of Finance Officer, Bundelkhand
University, payable at SBI, BU Branch, Jhansi.

Minimum Educational Qualifications for CTET Sept 2014 becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage):

  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
  • OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
  • OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • OR
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.
  • OR
  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

1.2 Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes VI-VIII: Elementary Stage

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
  • OR
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
  • OR
  • Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

Important Instructions and Procedure for submission of Online Application Form of CTET – SEPT 2014

CENTRAL BOARD OF SECONDARY EDUCATION is going to conduct Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Exam on 21.09.2014. Below are the Important Instructions and Procedure for submission of Online Application Form of CTET – SEPT 2014

1. Please read the Information Bulletin of CTET – SEPT 2014 carefully before you start filling the Online Application  Form.
2. Candidates can apply for CTET – SEPT 2014 ‘ON-LINE’ through website www.ctet.nic.in

For ‘ON-LINE’ SUBMISSION – www.ctet.nic.in
Candidates can apply ‘ON-LINE’ at CTET website www.ctet.nic.in. The candidate should supply all details while filling the Online Form.Candidate should enter his particulars i.e. Name, Father Name, Mother Name & Date of Birth as per his/her Secondary Education Board Class X Certificate.Candidates are required to take a print out of the computer generated Confirmation Page with Registration Number after successful submission of data.

3. Examination Fees

• Through Challan by deposit of prescribed fees in CBSE Account with Syndicate Bank or Canara Bank

• By Debit/Credit Card.

4. Application Procedure: 4 Simple Steps to be followed to apply online
Step 1: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down system generated Registration No. The candidate should supply all details while filling the Online Form. The Application Form mainly contains the personal details and contact details of the candidates. After successful submission of the data, Registration No. will be generated and it will be used to complete the remaining Steps of the Application Form and also required for all future correspondence.
Step 2: Upload Scanned Images of Photograph and Signature
Note :

  • The scanned images of photographs and signature should be in jpg format.
  • Size of the photo image must be greater than 4 kb and less than 100 kb.
  • Size of the signature image must be greater than 1 kb and less than 25 kb.
  • Image Dimension of photograph should be 3.5 cm(width) * 4.5 cm(Height) only
  • Image Dimension of signature should be 3.5 cm(length) * 1.5 cm(Height) only

* NOTE : THE Candidate particulars can be edited till the payment of fees by Debit/Credit Card has not been made or the challan is not downloaded.Once the payment of fee has been made / challan downloaded, candidate particulars cannot be edited at this stage. Thereafter corrections can be made only during the period in which on-line corrections will be allowed as per the given schedule of CTET – SEPT 2014.

Step 3: Pay Examination Fee by challan or debit/credit card:
For Payment by Syndicate Bank/ Canara Bank challan: The candidate has to select “Bank e-Challan” (Syndicate/Canara Bank) to submit the application fee through bank. As soon as he/she selects, an e-Challan will be generated containing details of the candidate along with amount to be paid as per their category and paper(s) opted. The candidate has to take a printout of the same and take it to the nearest Core Banking Service (CBS) facility enabled Branch of the respective Bank for making payment. After payment, the candidate has to login again to the system and enter the details written on the e-Challan by the bank official like Transaction ID, Branch Code, Branch Name and date of fee deposit. After the details are uploaded, a Confirmation Page will be generated.
OR Candidate can also pay fee by Debit/ Credit Card of any bank.
Step 4: Download Confirmation Page for your record and future reference, if required.
Note : Candidates are NOT REQUIRED to send hard copy of confirmation page to CTET unit. However, the candidates are advised to retain the hard copy of the application i.e. confirmation page, challan if fees is paid by challan, for future reference.
